Belleair Shores, FL Plumbing & Electrical Services

A+ BBB · Licensed since 1994

Belleair Shores is a tiny barrier island town in Pinellas County, tucked between Belleair Beach and the Gulf of Mexico. With a residential population in the low hundreds and homes that sit directly on the sand or just steps from it, the building stock here ranges from mid-century beach cottages to substantial rebuilt waterfront homes raised to meet modern flood elevations.

Living this close to salt water creates a specific set of plumbing and electrical conditions. Titan Plumbing and Electric serves Belleair Shores homeowners who need licensed work that accounts for corrosion, storm exposure, and the elevated construction common along the Pinellas barrier islands.

Plumbing Concerns Common in Belleair Shores

Salt air accelerates pitting on exposed copper, brass fixtures, and outdoor hose bibs. Older Belleair Shores homes built before the 1980s often have a mix of galvanized supply lines and copper, while properties rebuilt or remodeled in the last two decades typically run PEX or modern copper. Slab-on-grade and pier construction are both common here, which changes how leaks present themselves.

Beach-adjacent homes also tend to push their water heaters, outdoor showers, and pool equipment harder than inland properties. We address that through proper material selection and corrosion-resistant fittings.

  • Repipes for galvanized or aging copper supply lines
  • Outdoor shower and hose bib repair and replacement
  • Tankless and tank water heater service in raised utility closets
  • Drain line cleaning and camera inspection
  • Whole-home shutoff valve and pressure regulator installation
  • Leak detection on slab and pier-built homes

Electrical Work We Do in Belleair Shores

Coastal homes face two electrical realities: lightning exposure during the long Florida storm season, and salt-air corrosion that eats into panels, breakers, meter cans, and outdoor receptacles. Older panels in beach properties are a common upgrade target, and homes elevated to current flood standards often need their service entrances and grounding revisited.

We handle code-compliant panel changes, whole-home surge protection, and the GFCI and weather-resistant outlet work that the coastal environment demands.

We recently had our two water heaters replaced. Ariel did a great job making sure that they were installed and working. We have an older house and Ariel had to solve some connection issues to get everything installed and operational. Titan was professional and skilled and the hot water and water pressure are great now.

After this year's hurricanes, Titan is the only business I can rely on to show up when they say they will be there. Months after the storms blew through, we struggle to work with any company because the supply chain is so limited. I wish all companies were as honest as Titan. Their field technicians are not only highly skilled but very kind. Thank you Titan for your enduring commitment to integrity and great service!

I was running late getting home and the plumber waited for an hour on me. I appreciate him and his partner's patience. They fixed my issue fast and didn't complain. I haven't had a problem with my plumbing thus far. This is the company I would love to come fix my plumbing issues and I will refer them to friends in a heartbeat.

Very impressed. Was in a bind on a Saturday. Victor came out within 90 minutes of my call and was very knowledgeable about the Flologic leak detection system we had that showed a possible leak. Within 15 minutes he advised the issue was with the valve for that system that got stuck in the off position. He fixed it, tested the system and we were good to go. I'm very thankful for getting in touch with the right company. Victor was very professional, friendly, and if we have any further plumbing or electric issues we will call Titan.

Thank you to Travis, Brian, and Pete at Titan! We had a great experience with their plumbing and electrical work. They showed up on time, were easy to communicate with, and got everything done quickly and professionally. The plumbing issues were fixed without any hassle, and the electrical work was completed neatly and works perfectly. They explained everything along the way, cleaned up after themselves, and were respectful of our home. Highly recommend them for any plumbing or electrical needs.

Travis, employed by Titan Plumbing, is one of the nicest guys you would ever want to meet. The son of the owner, he treats people with 110% satisfaction. Great guy. I tell all my neighbors and friends about the job he did.

FAQ

Belleair Shores Plumbing & Electrical FAQs

What Belleair Shores homeowners ask us most often.

Is it Belleair Shore or Belleair Shores?
The municipality is the Town of Belleair Shore, singular, and it is a distinct town from Belleair Beach, Belleair Bluffs and Belleair. People use the plural constantly and it rarely causes a problem in conversation, but it does cause problems on paperwork. When a permit application, a utility record or an inspection request names the wrong town, it goes to the wrong desk and the job waits.
How small is Belleair Shore actually?
Among the smallest municipalities in Florida. The census counts 51 housing units in the entire town, across roughly a quarter of a square mile, with a 2020 population of 73. There is no commercial development. For context, a single condominium building in a neighbouring beach town can hold more homes than this whole municipality. That scale shapes everything about how services are delivered here.
Who issues a permit in Belleair Shore?
Pinellas County. The town contracts building permitting and inspections to Pinellas County Building Services rather than running a department of its own, which is what you would expect for a town of 51 homes. It is a different route from Clearwater or Tarpon Springs, both of which run their own departments, so contractors used to those cities need to file in the right place.
Which utilities serve Belleair Shore?
Three different providers for four services. The town states that water and sewer come from Pinellas County, electricity from Duke Energy and natural gas from Clearwater Gas System, which is a City of Clearwater utility even though the town is not in Clearwater. Police protection comes from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and fire and rescue from the Pinellas Suncoast district. Almost nothing is provided by the town itself.
How does the reclaimed water arrangement work here?
The town publishes a flat rate of twenty dollars per resident per month for unlimited reclaimed water for landscaping, which is unusual and generous compared with metered arrangements elsewhere. The plumbing consequence matters more than the price: reclaimed and potable water arriving at the same property is a classic cross connection, and it is the situation backflow protection exists to prevent.
Does my Belleair Shore backflow assembly need testing?
Your schedule follows Pinellas County Utilities, since the county bills your water, and the county applies a backflow prevention assembly charge on the bill that varies by assembly type and size. Confirm the current interval with the county rather than assuming a neighbouring city's rule, because Clearwater, St. Petersburg and the county each run separate programmes. Backflow testing has to be done by a certified tester either way.
Are any Belleair Shore houses genuinely old?
Very few. The median build year across the town's 51 housing units is 1994, and the census records none built before 1950. So despite the beachfront setting, this is not pre war stock with galvanised supply and knob and tube wiring. What you find here instead is late twentieth century construction that has spent thirty years in salt air, which produces its own distinct list of failures.
